I found this workshop very helpful and stimulating. Chris has a good teaching technique and explains things clearly. Both Sue and Chris are friendly and they make you feel like you’re the only person/student in the room. (Recommended) for knowledge, better understanding, skills and coordination

I liked very much the Chair Chi program. I learned very useful techniques to improve the route of my exercise class. I think Chair Chi is one of the most helpful to elderly and disabled people. I am going to put in practice what I learned today. Very important to apply in a nursing home. Even for all kinds of persons. Thank very much!

Very informative, plenty of involvement for all participants. Different way of learning, in teaching moves to other members in the group.

It was a promising course which was more to my expectations. I believe I will take with me new skills and knowledge that I can implement into the workplace. Even though it was a one day course I learnt a lot. The practicality was repetitive which is important. Thank you for sharing this knowledge.

Very enjoyable and interesting. Learned valuable points to incorporate into exercise sessions. Instructions were easy to follow and therefore made for a great day. I definitely recommend it – everyone should get the opportunity to have the experience.

I found the workshop to be very informative and enjoyable. Very hands on which is a great way to learn and practice what we have been taught. I look forward to sharing my new skills with our residents.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course! I know the residents where I work will like the gentle but strengthening exercises as a change from mainstream exercise videos and DVDs. I’ll practice myself so I can revitalise my chi and help myself to focus.

Thank you so much for today!! It was a very interesting and uplifting day. I learnt valuable skills that will be able to apply when working with my residents in the future. Chair Chi will be part of my exercise program. ... everybody in this course today picked up something different. Next time I’m sure I will hear something different again.

Enjoyed the day – thank you. You made it very easy to learn with the experiential training. Very applicable for my position.

Excellent program. Found rehearsing the teaching aspect very helpful – you tend to learn from others. I feel I could now take this exercise program to our clients with confidence. Am looking forward to taking Level 2 ... I feel this is a program that anyone could do.

Really enjoyed the day and learned so much. Can't wait to begin chair chi with our residents. It was good fun, informative, and relevant to aged care lifestyle exercise programme.

The Chair Chi workshop was well presented, the teaching method good. I learned a lot about Tai Chi and Chi, what the aim of it is, and how it is useful in exercise in Aged Care facilities. It was interesting to learn that I have been doing the right thing to let residents do the exercises slowly ... it is interesting, useful and well presented.

… the location and set-up were good, with refreshments provided. The instructor, Chris, was excellent, with great knowledge of the clientèle, form and practice time. He was easy to learn from and always encouraging. The exercises are appropriate for residential aged care – both low and high care – and the workshop was good fun!

It was very informative, in a relaxed environment and still in a small group to feel comfortable. The instructions are given in a professional way and I like the way that all participants are “teaching” each other.

I liked the simple approach and chance to apply practically

Fantastic learning session. Thanks for taking us through each step/move of the actions involved in Chair Chi. Appreciated the ability to be able to ask questions and bring up scenarios based on our facilities. Enjoyed the networking part of the day too! Really appreciate the book as a point of reference for practicing in the future!

Very helpful in improving my skills - and helping the aged remain flexible and participate in group activities. (It's) a good way to improve circulation and co-ordination.
