Tomorrow Sue and I will board a plane and head for the World Appreciative Inquiry Conference which will be held in Ghent, Belgium.
I”m packing my gear for the flight now and will make sure I include my passport, ticket and ear plugs. And I’m also reflecting on the last conference we attended in Nepal three years ago. Many wonderful memories of making new friends, an elephant trek and canoe ride in the Chitwan province, the fascinating and chaotic city of Kathmandu and the great hospitality we received from our Nepalese hosts.
It’s unlikely we’ll find elephants in Ghent unless there is ‘an elelphant in the room’ in one of the workshops :)
Here’s why we love to go to AI conferences around the world.
- we get to catch up with our old friends and colleagues
- the opportunity to learn about all the latest AI initiatives from the around the world
- we stay current in our own practice
- we have fun
And it’s also a great excuse for us to get out of the office – even though Belgium is over 10,000 miles away from Australia!
Envious! Have a great trip.
Thanks Frank. It’s a hard life but somebody has to do it :)
