Gimundo - Good News Daily
Gimundo Image
gimundo [ji - MUN - doe] - noun
1. A place of inspiration, hope and goodness; a better world.

Chris Case and Keith Cohn (in the US) founded Gimundo - a place of good news and inspiring stories.

As they say on their Our Story page:

We talked about the fact that there are a lot of good things happening in the world and a lot to be thankful for. We see it in our kids. We see in our friends and families. We strongly believe that people want to be inspired. So we decided to create a newsletter where we celebrate positive events and human achievement.

The world certainly has its share of tragedy, disaster and human suffering. Gimundo acknowledges all this, but tries to provide a little balance.

It's a space that provides a welcome respite from our daily media bombardment of negativity, celebrating the positive stories that also abound but so rarely reach the mainstream media.

3rd Grade Wisdom
A third grade teacher gave the first half of some proverbs to her students and asked them to complete the saying:

Better to be safe than ... punch a 5th grader.

Strike while the ... bug is close.

It's always darkest before ... Daylight Savings time.

Never underestimate the power of ... termites.

Don't bite the hand that ... looks dirty.

The Last Word
Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and of true progress. (Nicholas Murry Butler)
