Farewell to 2008! |
As 2008 draws to a close, we're finding ourselves wondering where on earth the year went! It's been a busy year for us, filled with hard work, new challenges, interesting things to learn, many wonderful people and lots of fun! :-)
So, with this issue of Starlink, another year of sharing resources, thought-provoking articles and fun with you draws to a close.
Be sure not to miss the goodies in the downloadable pdf file this month! Among them:
- Be moved and inspired by Playing for Change
- Visit Make Your World Happy and The Hames Report for some great articles and resources
- Learn about the Social Edge online community and the Qualitative Social Research Forum
- Browse a huge range of resources on the Beyond Intractability website
- ... and read about Chris's $114 spider!
We look forward to joining you again with the February issue!
In the meantime we wish you all the very best for Christmas and the New Year! May You Be Blessed throughout this festive season and for the coming year!
Warm regards
Sue & Chris

Starlink Birthday Gifts for Christmas?
|
We were surprised to find we received no responses from readers for the 'prize draw' we announced for Starlink's birthday last month! So we've extended this into December - a combined birthday AND Christmas giveaway perhaps. :-)
For details of how to add yourself to the gift list, please see the last page of the Starlink pdf file. The deadline is 19 December!
Unless we're flooded with responses this time, your odds in the draw will be pretty good! ;-)

Just for Fun |
With the last Starlink for the year, we thought we'd share a few bits and pieces that are just for fun. We hope they'll bring you a smile at this end of a busy year.
Firstly, our thanks to Mike Long, a friend and Starlink reader, for sending us the pic on the right. We loved it!
The caption is:
He finally did it!
So be kind to your keyboard and treat it gently! Or you never know ...:-)
Next ... In relation to the holiday gatherings and festivities on the horizon, some good advice arrived in our inbox recently ... :-) ... so we thought we'd share it:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways with Chardonnay in one hand and chocolate in the other plus your body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride!!
And finally here's a video that, if you've not seen it before will amaze you!
It's a pretty stunning magic trick with an egg, a lemon and an orange.
We haven't a single clue how its' done - do you?
