kidzspeakWhat is different about our public speaking program compared with the many others on offer?

  • Our program will complement and expand on existing curriculum related to oral and presentation skills
  • The program is delivered by professional speaker and facilitator, Chris Bennett, who has extensive experience working with young people in schools
  • Skills taught are selected from those used by professional speakers and adapted to suit young participants
  • AQ/KQ (appreciative & kinesthetic intelligence) approach to teaching. A strength-based framework drawing on Appreciative Inquiry, Tai Chi and other activities
  • Highly interactive and practical, using whole-class plus small-group activities
  • Use of humour to reinforce skills taught

The Program

  • Six weeks duration (6 sessions – 45-60 minutes per session) held during the school term
  • Maximum of 30 students per class
  • Each student receives a handout
  • Class teachers also receive a handout providing suggestions for classroom activities to reinforce learning
  • Minimum of two classes and maximum of three classes per morning
